3. Create a folder titled “Category_Participant(Representative)Name” and submit your entry

Theme

  • • "Jang" (Fermented Sauce) becomes "Jeong" (Affection)
  • • Creatively and engagingly present the diverse stories and unique culture of Korea's fermented sauce making, a national intangible heritage

Contest Categories

Category Details
UCC Video Category A video that includes making fermented sauce with friends, family, neighbors, or groups
Documentary Video Category A documentary video that promotes the excellence of fermented sauce making

Eligibility

  • Anyone interested in Korea's intangible cultural heritage can participate (individuals or teams)

Video Specifications

Category Details
Video Format • Recommended: 1920x1080 pixels (minimum 1280x720 pixels)
Video Length • UCC Video Category: At least 20 seconds
• Documentary Video Category: At least 5 minutes
Required Documents Application form, consent form for personal information use, and copyright agreement

Judging Method

  • • A panel of experts will serve as the judges
  • • The following criteria will be comprehensively considered

Category Details
Thematic Relevance • Does the work understand and reflect the purpose of the contest?
• Is the theme clearly addressed in the content, story, and message?
Originality & Creativity • Is there cohesion and distinction in the concept, composition, and development?
• Does it include fresh content and format?
Promotional Value • Does it contain elements that can capture public interest?
• Is it effective in raising awareness about fermented sauce making?
Completeness • Is the work well-crafted?
• Does it appropriately express both artistry and popularity in the story?
• Other criteria determined by the judges

Award Details

  • • An award ceremony will be held on the opening day of the contest for the selected works
  • • Total prize money of 15 million KRW
  • ※ Prizes will be awarded by the National Heritage Administration.

Important Notes

  • • By submitting an entry, applicants agree to the use of their work. Public institutions such as the host and Jeonju City Hall may use the winning works for marketing, promotion, and other public interest purposes, and may edit and reprocess them if necessary
  • • All entries must be the original creations of the participants and must not have won awards in other contests or competitions. Plagiarized, copied works, submissions made under someone else’s name, or works that have previously won other contests will be excluded from judging. If discovered after the award, the prize will be revoked and both the award certificate and prize money must be returned
  • • All submitted works must not infringe on any domestic or international copyrights, portrait rights of third parties, intellectual property rights, rental rights, or other related rights. In the event of legal issues, the entrant bears full civil and criminal legal responsibility and costs. The host and organizing committee assume no legal responsibility
  • • Content containing inappropriate elements such as vulgar language or explicit expressions will be excluded from the contest and, if awarded, the prize will be revoked
  • • The winner is responsible for taxes on the prize money, and the actual amount received will be the prize money after taxes are deducted
  • If no suitable entries are found, no winners may be selected
  • • For any issues not covered by the above rules, the host and organizing committee will make decisions based on relevant regulations
