단체 소개 ｜ Troupe 

(사)국가무형유산 처용무보존회는 국가무형유산 처용무의 원형을 보존하고 이를 그대로 실현할 수 있는 단체이다. 조선 장악원의 후신인 이왕직아악부에서 전승된 처용무를 1971년 국가무형문화재로 지정되었으며, 현재 처용무 명예보유자 김용, 예능보유자 김중섭, 전승교육사 이진호, 인남순, 한수문이 있다. 처용무보존회는 처용무의 전승과 보급을 위한 기예능 전수교육과 발표회 및 각종 문헌 연구와 자료취합 그리고 편찬 사업을 병행하고 있다.

Cheoyongmu (Dance of Cheoyong) Preservation Association for National Intangible Cultural Heritage is an organization dedicated to preserving the original form of Cheoyongmu and performing it authentically. Cheoyongmu, transmitted through Yiwangjik Aakbu (the successor to the Joseon Dynasty's Jangagwon), was designated as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage in 1971. Currently, its members include Honorary Holder Kim Yong, Holder Kim Jung-seob, and Certified Instructors Lee Jin-ho, In Nam-sun, and Han Su-mun. The association simultaneously conducts artistic training, showcase presentations, literature research, data collection, and publication projects for the transmission and dissemination of Cheoyongmu.

공연 소개 ｜ Performance Introduction

처용무

처용무는 자연 만물의 순환회기하는 모습을 표현한 춤이다. 청처용의 파랑색은 봄기운을 상징하고, 홍처용의 빨간색은 여름이며, 백처용의 흰색은 가을, 흑처용의 검정은 겨울을 상징한다. 그리고 황처용의 짙은 노란색은 봄, 여름,가을, 겨울을 모두 관장하는 대지와 같은 의미를 갖고 있다. 따라서 처용무는 대지 위에서 자연 만물이 생장하였다가 수장되는 순환의 원리를 춤추는 것이 처용무이다.

Cheoyongmu

Cheoyongmu is a dance that expresses the cyclical return of all things in nature. The blue of Cheong Cheoyong symbolizes the energy of spring, the red of Hong Cheoyong represents summer, the white of Baek Cheoyong symbolizes autumn, and the black of Heuk Cheoyong symbolizes winter. Furthermore, the deep yellow of Hwang Cheoyong signifies the earth, which governs all four seasons—spring, summer, autumn, and winter. Therefore, Cheoyongmu is a dance that portrays the cyclical principle where all things in nature grow and then return upon the earth.

• 탈 : 종이탈, 나무탈 등 처용 탈을 전시

Tal (Masks) : A variety of Cheoyong Tal (mask) will be displayed, including paper masks, wooden masks, etc.

• 의상 : 오방 처용무 의상 전시

Costumes: Cheoyongmu Costumes in the five colors — blue, red, yellow, black, and white — will be displayed at the booth.
