좌수영어방놀이보존회는 국가무형유산 좌수영어방놀이(전통 고기잡이와 어로요를 담은 유일한 국가무형유산으로 어방은 수군과 어민의 어업협동체를 의미함)를 전승하고 전수하는 단체로 부산 수영 지역의 향토민속문화인 좌수영어방놀이의 공동체 문화를 현대에 맞게 재해석을 하여 교육을 하면서 연구·발전시키고, 공연을 하여 국내·외에 알리기 위해서 힘을 쓰는 단체이다.
Jwasuyeong Eobang Nori Preservation Association won the Presidential Award, the highest prize, at the 14th National Folk Arts Contest in 1973, and was designated as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage in 1978 in recognition of its traditional and artistic value. As Korea’s only Intangible Cultural Heritage related to a traditional fishing cooperative and its folk performance, Jwasuyeong Eobang Nori holds great significance. The association’s training center is located in Suyeong-dong, Suyeong-gu, Busan. Composed of around 50 transmitters, including holders and certified practitioners, this historic organization participates in various domestic and international events each year, including regular and special performances.

공연 소개 ｜ Performance Introduction
어방소리
<어방소리>는 바다를 삶의 터전으로 삼아온 어민들의 생활문화와 공동체 정신, 그리고 부산 지역 전통문화의 생명력을 생생하게 느낄 수 있게 한 작품이다. 줄틀을 이용해 그물용 새끼줄을 꼬면서 부르는 내왕소리를 시작하여 풍어와 만선의 기쁨을 흥겨운 춤과 노래로 풀어낸 칭칭소리가 펼쳐진다. 실제 어업 현장을 연상시키는 무대를 구현하여 현장감을 높였으며, 노동과 놀이가 어우러진 좌수영어방놀이는 한국전통문화의 예술적 가치를 선사한다.
Eobang Sori
Eobang Sori is a vibrant work that brings to life the living culture, community spirit, and enduring vitality of the fishermen who have long made the sea their home. The performance opens with Naewang Sori, a traditional labor song sung while twisting ropes for fishing nets using a wooden frame, and transitions into the exhilarating rhythms of Chingching Sori, which celebrates the joy of an abundant catch and a full boat through festive dance and song. By recreating a realistic stage reminiscent of an actual fishing site, the performance heightens its sense of live immediacy. Beautifully intertwining labor and play, Jwasuyeong Eobang Nori delivers the true artistic and cultural value of Korean traditional performing arts.
