(사)국가무형유산 영산재보존회는 국가무형유산이자 유네스코 인류무형유산인 영산재의 전승과 보존을 위해 설립된 단체이다. 봉원사를 중심으로 범패, 작법무, 의식 절차 등 영산재의 전통을 계승하고 있으며, 전수교육과 정기 시연, 국내외 공연 및 학술활동을 통해 영산재의 문화적 가치를 널리 알리고 있다. 또한 미래 세대 전승을 위한 교육과 연구를 지속하며 한국 전통 불교문화의 보존과 발전에 힘쓰고 있다.
Yeongsanjae Preservation Association for National Intangible Cultural Heritage is dedicated to safeguarding and transmitting Yeongsanjae, which is recognized as both a National Intangible Cultural Heritage and a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Based at Bongwonsa Temple in Seoul, the association preserves the traditional elements of the ritual, including Beompae (Buddhist chants), Jakbeopmu (ritual dances), and its formal ceremonial procedures. Through educational programs, regular public demonstrations, academic research, and domestic and international performances, the association actively promotes the cultural and spiritual value of Yeongsanjae to a broader audience. The organization is committed to nurturing future generations of practitioners while contributing to the preservation and development of Korea’s traditional Buddhist heritage. As a leading transmission body, it continues to share messages of peace, harmony, and compassion through this living cultural heritage.

영산재
영산재는 석가모니 부처님께서 영취산에서 설한 법화경의 영산회상을 재현하는 한국 불교의 대표적인 의례이자 유네스코 인류무형유산이다. 이번 쇼케이스에서는 영산재의 핵심 장면인 범패, 바라춤, 나비춤 등을 중심으로 전통 불교의식이 지닌 장엄함과 예술성을 선보인다. 장중한 범음과 절제된 작법무가 어우러져 삶과 죽음, 화합과 평화를 기원하는 영산재의 정신세계를 관객들에게 전달하며, 한국 전통 불교문화의 깊이와 아름다움을 느낄 수 있는 무대를 펼친다.
The Yeongsanjae Ritual
Yeongsanjae is a representative Buddhist ritual of Korea and a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. The ritual recreates the sacred Vulture Peak Assembly where the Buddha delivered the Lotus Sutra and embodies prayers for peace, harmony, and the well-being of all beings. This showcase presents key elements of Yeongsanjae, including Beompae (traditional Buddhist chants), Barachum (cymbal dance), and Nabichum (butterfly dance). Through solemn chants, refined ritual movements, and symbolic performances, audiences can experience the spiritual depth and artistic beauty of Korean Buddhist culture. The performance highlights the harmonious combination of ritual, music, dance, and devotion that has been transmitted through generations as a living cultural heritage.
