MicroExpressionClub 은 국가무형유산 이수자들이 모여있는 예술집단이다. 거문고, 판소리, 태평무, 강릉단오굿 등 다양한 국가무형유산을 기반으로 박제된 과거의 전통이 아닌 살아 숨쉬는 언어를 지향한다.
MEC (Micro Expression Club) is an artist collective rooted in Korea’s National Intangible Cultural Heritage. Bringing together certified masters of Geomungo, Pansori, Taepyeongmu, and the Gangneung Danoje ritual, MEC transforms tradition into a living language for today’s audiences. Each performance merges centuries-old heritage with contemporary artistry — offering a rare, vital encounter with Korean intangible culture. MEC is ready to bring this singular voice to global stages, inviting the world to experience tradition not as history, but as living presence.

현의 그늘을 거닐다
국가무형유산인 신쾌동류 거문고산조를 시작으로 전통 어법으로 작곡된 ‘아로’를 선보인다. 거문고의 내경을 담은 영상이 함께하며 거문고의 매력과 정취를 온몸으로 감상하길 기대한다.
Resonance Chamber
The program opens with Shin Kwaedong style Geomungo Sanjo, a nationally designated Intangible Cultural Heritage, presenting the instrument’s deep, resonant voice in its purest form. The ensemble presents ‘Aro’, composed within the musical grammar of certified heritage masters — showing how Korea’s traditional musical language lives on through contemporary creation. Janggu and Gueum (vocal improvisation) deepen the texture. A projection of the Geomungo’s inner landscape fills the background, inviting audiences into the instrument’s spirit and charm. Experience the Geomungo with your whole being.
