국가무형유산 경기민요 이수자 남경우는 소리·연출·작곡을 넘나들며 전통예술의 현재성을 탐구해온 국악 창작자이다. 제28회 전국 경·서도소리 대회 종합대상을 수상했고, 매년 대표 레퍼토리 <경우 소리 시리즈>를 통해 민요 속 한국인의 삶과 문화를 재구성하여 그 안의 가치를 무대 위에서 다시 태어나게 한다. 이번 공연에는 가야금 조선인, 장구·뒷소리 정준필, 대금·소금 차루빈이 함께한다. 네 연주자는 전통 민요를 축으로 선율과 장단, 재담을 촘촘히 엮어내며 그 깊이와 흥을 오늘의 무대 언어로 새롭게 펼쳐 보인다.
Nam Kyeongwoo is a certified practitioner of Gyeonggi Minyo, a National Intangible Cultural Heritage. A singer, director, and composer, he won the Grand Prize at the 28th National Gyeong-Seodo Folk Song Competition. Through his annual stage productions, the Kyeongwoo Sori Series, he recomposes the lives and culture within Korean folk songs, bringing their values to the stage to be reborn. For this performance, he is joined by Jo Seonin (Gayageum), Jeong Junpil (Janggu and backing vocals), and Cha Rubin (Daegeum and Sogeum), interweaving melody, rhythm, and wit anew.

민요로 살아온 나라, 한국
<민요로 살아온 나라, 한국>은 팔도민요에 담긴 서사와 해학을 재담과 함께 풀어내는 작품이다. 19세기 민요 전성기를 이끈 남자 소리꾼의 풍류를 모티브로, 한반도 곳곳의 삶과 정서가 깃든 노래를 익살스러운 몸짓과 이야기로 엮어낸다. 민요와 재담을 중심으로 가야금·대금·소금·장구와 뒷소리가 어우러지며 지역마다 다른 선율과 장단, 민중의 희로애락을 생생하게 전한다. 살아 숨 쉬는 소리의 생동감과 환대의 정서 속에서 관객은 한바탕 이야기와 노래로 우리 민요의 멋과 흥, 그 안에 깃든 혼을 자연스럽게 마주한다.
Korea, Where Folk Songs Live
Korea, Where Folk Songs Live brings the narrative and humor of Korea's regional folk songs (Minyo, K-Folk) to the stage through playful storytelling. Inspired by the male singers who led the 19th-century golden age of Minyo, it portrays the lives and emotions of the Korean peninsula through comic gestures and tales. Centered on Minyo and witty banter, joined by Gayageum, Daegeum, Sogeum, Janggu, and backing vocals, it vividly conveys each region's distinct melodies and rhythms, drawing audiences into the spirit of living song.
