단체 소개 ｜ TROUPE

밀양백중놀이보존회는 1980년 11월 국가무형문화재 제68호로 지정된 이후 오늘에 이르기까지 전승과 보존을 위해 꾸준히 활동하며 매년 공개발표회, 기획공연, 지역축제, 외부 초청공연, 해외공연 등 연간 35여 회에 이르는 활동으로 밀양백중놀이의 우수성을 널리 알리고 있다. 현재 회장 추현태와 전승교육사 이용만, 최선희를 중심으로 48명의 회원이 전통예술의 계승과 발전을 위해 공연, 교육, 연구, 체험 프로그램 등을 지속적으로 추진하며 밀양백중놀이의 문화적 가치 확산에 힘쓰고 있다.

Miryang Baekjung Nori Preservation Association has preserved and transmitted the traditions of Miryang Baekjung Nori since its designation as National Intangible Cultural Heritage No. 68 in 1980. Through over 35 annual performances, festivals, and international tours, the assosiation promotes this unique folk art. Its 48 members continue to safeguard and share its rich cultural heritage through performances, education, research, and community engagement.

공연 소개 ｜ Performance Introduction

밀양백중놀이 춤판

밀양백중놀이는 경남 밀양 지역에서 백중을 전후해 펼쳐지던 전통 민속놀이이다. 농촌에서 힘겨운 세벌논매기를 마친 뒤 풍년을 기원하며 농신제를 지내고, 이어 다양한 놀이판을 벌이며 공동체의 화합을 다졌다. 특히 양반들의 횡포에 시달리던 서민들의 애환을 풍자와 해학으로 풀어낸 것이 특징이다. 이번 공연에서는 양반춤, 풍자해학춤, 오북춤 등 대표 장면을 통해 밀양백중놀이의 흥겨운 춤판을 선보인다.

Miryang Baekjung Nori

Miryang Baekjung Nori is a traditional folk performance from Miryang, Korea, historically presented around Baekjung, a midsummer farming holiday. After completing the strenuous rice-weeding season, villagers celebrated with rituals, dance, and satire. This showcase highlights key scenes, including the Nobleman Dance, Satirical Dance, and Obuk Drum Dance, revealing the lively spirit, humor, and communal energy of Miryang Baekjung Nori.
